“Peace Child Home in Pokhara, Nepal was founded in 2006 by Binod Kumar Nepali. During it’s early years, the home grew steadily under the leadership of Binod and his wife, Sumitra. In 2008, our partners, the Alsups, went to visit the home for the first time and began to support and find support for these children.
In 2016, the home became a part of the MANNA Worldwide family of projects and has flourished with increased support and partnership since that time. The children also moved into a new, much nicer and larger home in 2016.
Over the past several years, we have seen the majority of our children come to a saving faith in Christ, get baptized, and begin to share the Gospel among their peers. We have seen families, friends, teachers at their school, and many others in the community come to know Jesus Christ as Lord through the witness of our Peace Child Home children as well as Binod and his family.
During a mission trip in 2019, we were able to hold a commissioning service for our children in which all of them stepped forward to surrender their lives to Gods mission for them, no matter the cost. Our team was able to pray for and over the children and ‘send’ them as missionaries, wherever they go.
Several of our children have moved on over the years and taken the Gospel back to their home villages. Some others have graduated high school and continued on in college. One has gone on to attend special missionary training and one of our boys, Rajan, started an orphanage of his own in 2019!
In January 2020, work was completed on a water well alongside the home that now supplies water to all of the homes in our community, allowing for increased connection with our leaders and increased access to share the Gospel in our community. This well was completely funded by the generosity of the Beachside Community Church Family.
Trips are planned to visit Peace Child Home in June and October of 2020 as well as January of 2021.”
